What do you think of when I say the name...CHINA?

I am such a novice. Is this thing working? Can you hear me now? I have never blogged in my life...at least not on purpose...and here I am starting a new blog (Whatever that means) in preparation for the China Team's ministry in a couple of months. The team is now set. twenty two devoted followers of Christ heading to China in July to use an ESL (English as a Second Language) to sharing the love of God with the Chinese people. The VISA applications are due this Thursday; Passports must be finalized in the next thirty days; Shots are done; Tickets purchased; and last night was our first introduction to the Chinese culture and people. Did you know that there are officially 56 different nationalities in China? Can you see why this land is so complicated and mysterious?
What do you think of when I say the name...CHINA? Did the Great Wall or the Forbidden City come to mind? How about about the 100 million people who live there? Did you think about the Olympics which will be held there in the future? What a great opportunity for the church to partner with a people who are passionate about life, love to speak with Americans and are looking forward to our visit. I can't wait! And I want you to join us on the journey. So, periodically, we will blog what's happening with the team, even while over seas. This will help you pray more fervently and be our teammates while away from home.
I may be a novice...but I know the value of communication. So, that's all for now. Blogger off! Is that how I'm supposed to end?
